We had an exceptional stay in a wonderful guesthouse. the location is peaceful, yet close to great restaurants and the sea. the room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a library/study area. the bathroom was modern, but the plumbing features were a bit awkward. the service was amazing - the caring and informative host provided great tips for activities and even made restaurant reservations for us. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh fruit, pastries, and freshly baked bread. We especially appreciated the hot water bottle in our bed every night.

We had an amazing stay at Long Story Guest House! Meg, the owner, was the perfect host. She made us feel at home right away and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The guesthouse is beautifully designed with fun touches, and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was the best we've ever had. Meg's hospitality and attention to detail truly made our stay unforgettable. We hope to be back one day!

It is situated in a peaceful neighborhood, providing a tranquil atmosphere. The service and housekeeping were exceptional, ensuring that my room was always clean and comfortable. The hotel also offers a laundry service, which was convenient for longer stays. Additionally, the shuttle service was available for a small fee, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The room amenities were fantastic, including ironing facilities and a mini-bar. The sitting area and terrace provided a lovely space to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. Furthermore, the in-room safe added an extra level of security for my belongings. I was impressed with the quality and comfort this hotel provided.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home during our romantic escape. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with attention to detail that made it feel luxurious. We loved having a large veranda and access to a common area with a swimming pool and sunbeds. It was also great to be within walking distance to the beach and a short drive to the main center of town, as well as popular attractions like the Tsitsikamma National Park and bird parks.
While the location was convenient, we initially had concerns about not being in the center of town. However, it turned out to be a more serene and relaxing experience.

Breakfast is a feast, with a wide variety of delicious options cooked to order. Meg, the hostess, goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have the best stay possible. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to help.
Without a doubt, this is the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Cons: Nothing that we didn't like.

Beautifully decorated guest house with a lovely garden. the breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit, yogurt, and home-made specialities every day. the location is also great, close to the beach and in a quiet residential area.
The bathroom in the room we stayed had no door, and the toilet was inside the bedroom, which made it a bit uncomfortable. we were offered drinks during dinner, but then realised they were charged separately on checking out, which was a bit confusing.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
